good and bad, light and dark, black and white, male and female, yin and yang, everything.

I was once told it is. Or should I ask, is it still?

I should say that every step is a try to keep balance.

There seems to be an energy, producing a movement.

Then the struggle to keep balance.

The continuous dynamic changes seem to indicate a state of imbalance to me..... at the cosmic level, if the universe is expanding at a phenomenal rate continuously, it doesn't seem that anything in this system can ever be in perfect balance...... however, a perfect balance does appear to be the ultimate goal and once it is attained, there would be no changes and when time would stop and a restful totality then exist eternally... but wouldn't that be like the end?!!?

Well, that was just a rebel thought to share. It could well be that everything is in a 'dynamic' balance, meaning it is different at different points of time, and yet in total balance at each point in time!! This could well be to create a higher balance between imbalance and balance!!!

people like to believe it is true because its comforting to know that you're in control like you get what you give, one man's food is another's poison, one soul lost is another one gained, and all that jazz, and lets face it, we all like to think that everyone in the world is given equal chance and opportunity, equal burdens to bare, and definitely equal rights. it is based on these perceptions that our ideologies on light/dark, male/female, yin/yang etc are built. But i tend to factor in the difference in abilities, the diversity of cultures that suggest otherwise. prejudice plays a big role in throwing off our "balance". physical appearance is a big deal too. so after thinking about black civil rights, the rights of women a few centuries ago, the fact that the gender ratio in NZ is 2:4 male to female, can we still keep believing in nature's balance?

your call.
