ok, my mobo supports Serial ATA (SATA) andPATA....i already have a PATA hdd installed now i bought another one to make my space bigger......the SATA hdd i bought doesen't come with a sata cable, how much will that cost me? and can my pc work if one hdd is PATA and the other one is SATA (my mobo supports both PATA and SATA) pls help

you should contact your mobo dealer or buy a new one. its not that expensive...and yes... your PC still working...

Sure it will work. Somewhere in the bios you would have to tell it to enable the sata port, and possibly the boot order, although mine just looks for the drive that has windows on it.

I hope the cable is not much, I thought I got one with the new drive and the motherboard
