I only changed mine to hide from some trolls who were harassing me. Changing my avatar and name seemed to do the trick; they left the 'new' me alone. When it seemed they had left to harass somewhere else, I changed back.

I don't like a lot of change so I've never changed my avatar. I'd respect you if you didn't even have one.

I was thinking of putting a pic on for my avatar, I just need to find one that doesn't make me look like Uncle Fester for the Addams family.

Yes, and the check is in the mail and we're from the government and want to help you..............
and I successfully changed my avatar and it was considerably easier than the other major change I made.

at first I had a cat avatar :D, but then we had a "show your real face" day in R&S and I changed it...
nosey-steve, you could go with a faceless avatar and everyone would respect you the same!
