Many social psychologist have tried to explain where racism comes from. A very prominent theory (that by the way I don't agree with) is the Conflict Theory which states that groups will always compete for resources and that similar people tend to group together to obtain social benefits and keep their status.

Because despite the fact of being in 2008 - this country has never made a significant effort to educate the populous in school about the science (socialogical) aspects of race and how it affects our behavior. So there are just a lot of really ignorant ppl.

I blame selfish-pride. In my experience many people hide their selfishness behind their pride, in an attempt to appear good. It is still common/popular belief that a person is not selfish if many 'others' are able to benefit from that persons efforts. The fact that the person(s) making the effort is a part of the group that will benefit from the efforts, easily gets forgiven &/or overlooked. A simular game plays out in the form of scapegoats, alienation & oppression...to those who don't benefit a proud group or who are believed to be taking away from it in some way.

The lack of knowledge. Over the year there has been so many myths concerning races. That one race feel they are superior to another dating back to biblical times when the have and have nots were separated. the only difference is our skin color. I say just to get to know a person before u judge them and then we may move forward.

Racial issues are a fact, that everyone refuses to understand,
and that most can only handle, by making an unfair demand
The facts are relatively simple, but few can actually deal with these,
That we are all just different,and will do what we damn well please.
Blacks see themselves as perpetual victims, always in need of everything
Where white see themselves as the host to parasites, that integration brings
