It`s too bad that you can`t get into the spirit, but as long as you have to feel sad, I`ve got a little story for you out of my own life. When I was born, the world was in a deep depression. Nobody had very much, and the ones who were out of work had it the worst. As a child , Christmas was more a religious day than one of giving presents, and feasting. My mom and dad would make our toys out of things that were no longer any use, but I still look back at that time, and have some fond memories. The point is, there`s a lot you`ll remember from this time, later on in life, and you`ll see it really isn`t as bad as you think. GOD bless you, and Merry Christmas. LUV

I know exactly how you feel. I lost several friends this month, and then on top of that, I found out that my best online friend was a complete lie. Everything I was told was a lie. Now I'm without any real friends or family as support this holiday season. But I try to keep my chin up and be happy. I listen to happy music and attend church and let God help me thru it. Even with all the bad events in my life, I can still appreciate Christmas and all its joy that it brings. Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend.

Well, my dear lady, you can have strength knowing you have a lot of faithful friends here and at home! Christmas is a time of great joy, but also sadness too with memories of loved ones who are departed and the good times that were had. The only consolation is the hope and faith that we will all be together someday! Have a wonderful day, and smile!:)

Well hip,
I'm working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so that'll keep me busy.
Kind of the easy way out, I won't be with family and friends but at least I'll be around people.
Oh yea, I'll most likely be on here too, hopefully there will be a few of us on here over the holidays.
Merry Christmas to you also.

Get up and and go through the motions, find a "angel" tree or another charity and do one nice thing for a child in need, or volunteer to ring the bell for the Salvation Army.
Watch a Christmas movie, just get out an walk.

Right there with ya buddy. Not haing a lot of luck with beating the blues, much less, putting on a big old fake smile and acting HappyHappyJoyJoy.
I love my family very much, but my self protection mode is beginning to kick in.
I'm really thinking the best thing for me to do is to leave town until the first and let the celebration go on with out me.
Actually, I owe that to everyone, and I own it to my survival.

...I relate so much...the other day, I got out pics of my husband and started making a new photo album and also of my Mom, both of whom have passed away...the trip down memory lane helped a bit...then I found an internet photo of someone in a cool looking Bigfoot suit and got busy with my photo program pasting family faces onto the bigfoot image...pretty soon, I was enjoying the comedy of what I made and ended up making copies for others to get a laugh....it was a silly thing to do, I know, but I don't care...this is how I've coped this season...and I pray for you to find some peace and comfort too...lots of love,
Evelyn

Perhaps you could take a long, peaceful drive to somewhere you like. Through the country, or mountains, by the ocean, depending on where you live. Watch a stream, or a waterfall, something pertaining to nature. Then, if the weather permits, take a nice, long walk. I'll hope & pray for you to feel better, as well as myself. :)
