I agree that Nash is not near as good as the media try to make us believe but he is good enough to lead a team to a championship, as basketball is a team sport. The reason they will not win a championship is because of defense and rebounding and that goes for the entire team, not just Nash.
I also agree that he did not deserve MVP even once, but that all depends of your interpretation of MVP. What does it mean? Does it mean that you are more important to your team than any other player? If so then Iverson should have about 5 because Philly would've finished last every year without him and Kobe should have won the 2 Nash has and Lebron should have the one from Dirk Nowitzki. Or does the trophey go to the best person in the NBA? If so, Kobe should have 5. The MVP award is almost like a popularity contest, it's a tool that the NBA uses to enhance it's own reputation. So there is no way Kobe is going to win when he's facing rape charges, or Iverson is going to win talking about practice isn't important. Also the MVP is chosen by the media, so a players attitude or cooperation and relationship with the media also play a big part.
Don't get too upset about it though, when it's all said and done it is only a game, and games should be fun.

And who does deserve them? Nash deserves those MVP's, in my opinion he should have gotten the third one also. Nash might not be the highest scoring player, but he's certainly been the most valuable. He utilizes his team in ways that no other player does. He doesn't buckle under pressure, and he always keeps his steam. He plays amazing at the suns fast pace for his age. He knocks down clutch shots, and as far as turnovers go, even if he turns it over, he doesn't let it affect his mental game, NO other player recovers from any situation as well as Nash does. No he's not a huge shot blocker, but he's not really built for it, but makes sure to get in people faces, and keep close, he does a great job at never leaving a man open, and he's not afraid to put pressure on someone out of his zone if they've got the shot, he hustles more than any other player in the game. The Lakers are Kobe, the Cavs are Lebron, and the heat Wade, but its the Phoenix Suns. He one of the best rounded players of all time, and one of the best leaders. In my opinion the only thing that keeps the suns from the championship is b.s. calls, and teams like the Spurs who flop all the time, (although the suns do have raja...). Watch a few Suns games, and pay attention to the way they flow with nash in the game. Nash can come out, the team might get down as much as twenty points, and when Nash comes back in they take the lead, not because Nash comes in and knocks down thirty points, but because he gets his team involved and improves their attitude. No other player runs their team as well. Nash is the most valuable player, like him or not.

steve nash is a great player. but let me put it this way. the suns style can't win a championship. or if they do get a chance, it's a very tough one.
disregarding everything else, a team can play defense more consistently rather than offense. if you were a player, it's easier to defend(raise your hands and move your feet) consistently rather than shooting consistently.
the suns play defense in my opinion contrary to popular belief but in my opinion, their style just reduces that defensive efficiency.
it's not nash, it's the suns.
you know how fans love offense so i'm expecting a lot of bad feedbacks regarding this. but as much as the NBA wants a change, that is, offense winning championships. fans just love magical things to happen if you know what i mean but reality will always set in.
it would be a good thing for the league and the fans but we have to face reality.

Playing for a team...I know you can't rely on one person to win a game for you...Steve Nash is a good player I agree with that, but he is getting older....Everyone knows it's defense that wins a game....Without defense the offense can't make their plays....There's still a chance Nash jsut needs to pick up his defense.

The path to the NBA championship requires more than the effort of one player. Steve Nash cannot do it by himself. So if you expect his effort to be the way to the championship, you will be disappointed.

Nash lapses on defense too much. He also does not know how to slow down. Great player, but flawed in subtle ways. Defense wins titles.
