Honestly, there was a research done on this and found out that a cheaper brand such as Walmart brand will do the same thing without the high cost.
Oil of Olay was one of them and they compared it to walmart. I tried it and it worked just as well without the high price.
Most people think, the higher in price, the better the product is. Not true.
Try one and see if it works for you.

Well it depends on what type of skin you have
If you have oily skin its best to choose one with lots of Natural remedies for oily skin Try an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a lightly medicated soap.
For dry skin use a really rich vitamin and soothing lotion
For acne skin use one that has acne preveting ingredients
For average skin a normal lotion with average ingredients found at local stores are good..

Lotion should not be used on the face. A moisturizer should as a part of your basic skin care regimen. I like the skin care at aularale.com/7002. This skin care along w/a good diet, and lots of water keep my skin in fantastic shape.

Curel has worked wonders for my face. Not greasy and just the right amount of moisture to keep my face soft all day. It's an inexpensive choice when you consider how much department stores charge for 4 oz. of "moisturizer".

Uh...I don't know what you mean by 'soft', but I recommend a facial moisturizer so you don't break out...
