According to 1992 edition of the Red Book(1992)it should range between $2,500 and $17,000.

There is no such thing as an 1851 Indian head silver dollar. There is also no 1851 Indian gold dollar for it had liberty on it. I think you have a medal of some kind not a coin. It also could be a token if there is a value on it. There must be a legend on it some place that says something. Without seeing it or more info, this is the best I can do. You can try a couple of coin dealers near you. The item you have is not listed in the Red Book from any year.

The 1851 silver dollar is the Seated Liberty type and can not be mistaken for an Indian. Seated Liberty is a full body not a bust. There are no coins with the United states of America on both sides. you either have a silver round, which is one ounce of silver with almost any image on either side. it would say Once ounce .999 silver on it. Other than that it maybe a medal or token or a fantasy item. a lot of fantasy items are showing up these days. They are either a made up so-called coin or from a country that does not exist and never did. There must be more writing on the coin than you stated. At least you have a conversation piece.

I have just come back from India where I bought a coin wallet containing 12 Silver coins 8 of them where silver dollors and 3 where the 1851 indian head with no eagle, they look uncirculated. any idea as to there worth now please? Thank You..

It's a novelty, not a genuine silver dollar. It's not worth anything.
