Thanks for the great question. For me music not only affects me emotionally, but it helps me with time. For example, when I hear a song that I knew as a teenager, I can remember WHO I had a crush on, what the style of clothing was and so forth. My music affects my emotions depending on what was going on at the time of the song, and as for the new songs of today I relate depending on my mood at the present time.
