The person who told the lie knows it is a lie

2007-12-21 21:27:54 · answer #1 · answered by Freethinking Liberal 7 · 2 1

One person's truth may be seen by another as a lie. What is the difference between an overlooked fallacy and an unrecognized truth? The difference lies within the eye of the beholder.

Therefore, the truth, be it a fact or a fallacy, is subject to the notion of majority rule. If more people believe a lie, then the ones that see the truth may hold the sh!t end of the stick, so to speak. As unfortunate as that may sound, this is how society works. Belief, albeit personal in nature, collectively becomes a true democracy.

One good thing about telling the truth is that one does not have to remember what he has told. Just imagine the case of a lie...one keeps telling one after the other after the first one till it is caught.... eventually ....and by then a long trail of miseries, frustration, fear, guilt, grief and even feelings of repentance follow which do not allow to settle in peace as each lie comes back with their effects forcing us to remember everything and in turn we become more confused and unsettled.

It is better to be a follower of truth and be free of worries and live freely then lie and live in constant fear of being caught.

To me this is the biggest difference because the former keeps u sane, stable and in peace with the self where as the latter leaves a trail of de-energising, demoralising and destructive effect all around.

A lie is lie whether it has been caught or not. It can never be a rewarding thing. Truth is truth> It rewards you with peace of mind and security for the future.

truth is correct knowledge that leads to closure, understanding and over a period of time is the easier path.

a lie that has not been caught is deceitful, misleading and many times harmful depending on the situation.

the person who chooses truth over the latter respects the other human being and believes in second chances and the forgiving nature of most humans and believes the truth followed by right actions will restore the balance in any situation.

A truth is out in the open and does not worry about looking over it's shoulder all it's existence. A lie covers itself constantly in the shadows waiting to be discovered for what it is.
There is no fear in the truth, but a lie lays waiting in fear to be uncovered.

A lie not caught; it's a lie!
A truth is a truth.

Truth has keyed within itself, relative to a given plane, sets of frequencies that cannot be undermined, for the plane on which it exists is part and parcel of the very fabric of that given plane: thus it is an immutable constant. And this is a relative truth in any case but originates from the selfsame fabric and thread of the Truth above it.

’Hmmm... Now, it is this --

A little bit of carbon -- in an exacting range of ratio and proportion -- mixed with iron makes a powerful metal -- steel. This is of the solid or matter worlds, which in itself consists of a certain set of frequencies and signatures as well but sustains of constancy for completely different purposes and to different ends. The truth and the lie are as different from each other as is an eagle from a housefly.

On the other hand, a little bit of truth mixed with an otherwise lie makes a powerful deception, which very make-up defaults at once to instability and is at once subject to scrutiny by certain laws that militate against that instability to ever seek of balance.

If such a lie or deception did not dissolve at once, it certainly does eventually by its very signature of instability: it would resonate as proudly as would a blotch of black paint jot out proudly against the backdrop of a wall painted in white -- so stark is its dissonance.

The speed at which this is detected and the extent of its disharmony is perceived by those who best and closest approximate the resonance of the white paint -- or equally -- by those if resonant to the black paint, the extent to which resonance with black paint differentiates the white from the black and by this, resolves to the same truth. The purpose is same: to resolve to truth. By those of merit this can be known with lightning speed.

Truth has many avenues by which one can come to know it and thus audit for the lie; this, as a foil to the many ways with which the lie can conspire to thwart the truth.

A lot. Even if a lie has not been caught it is still a lie and is therefore wrong.
