it's all about the loyalty program
it used to be petro-canada..but they stopped letting us combine another store's pts with theirs. so i ended up donating all my pts to the cancer society.
we go to superstore because they give you money back for your gas towards groceries. but on a full tank, it's like a buck. but those coupons add up with 2 cars going everyday. they also give you pts when u use your debit card.
i had a card for ultramar, until i found out, when i bought gas, $20 worth, they handed me .12 cents back. (how embarrasing was that?) later i found out, u can use it to buy milk cheaper, so i might do that instead
there's ESSO, if i get to 4k pts, i get a tim hortons $25 gift card (coffeeeeeee)
there's shell, which uses airmiles, but you only get 1 per $30 gas. so i use that when airmiles has a triple your miles event or some other kind of promotion that gets you bonus airmiles.
we have wilson's which says you "save 3 c a litre" when all they do is pump that amount of gas back in the tank..supposedly..but with the high price of gas, 3 c is a big saving.
