I think that you maybe right but I think it is more likely to be a combination of Yorkshire tea with lots of milk and sugar that has been spilt on a swirly patterned carpet and not cleared up and has started to go bad, a Gregg's cheese pasty and Harpic air freshener. Maybe a faint whiff of those cheap small cigars that you buy in tins that drunks smoke because they think it makes them look sophisticated!
