Oh yeah! But, I worry it'd be more trouble than it's worth. I'd have to clean up before I'd let a stranger in the house, for starters! I wouldn't want my maid to think I'm a complete pig . . . .

Also, there would be the valuables aspect. But, it's probably safer to keep that kind of stuff in a safety deposit box or a real safe. (-: And what about weird hobbies? Have to hide all evidence of that, too!

There are bonded housekeepers who work for an agency. Also, you can get a housekeeper through word of mouth -- someone has a good housekeeper for a few days a week, and she's looking for a few extra hours, sort of thing.

Remember, you get what you pay for. Call references, and interview thoroughly, but after that, act from a position of trust.

Or try Flylady, and see if you can pick up after yourself. She's helped me a bit (-:.

yea..of course. ya is true that a stranger in your house is a bit dangerous. But what you can do is check everything with the agent about this maid details before you hire . Or probably you can observe her for about few month, if you're not happy with it....you can always fire her.

Sometimes I do b/c when I come home from work I'm so exhausted I don't want to lift a finger. But I'm so particular in the way I clean I don't think I would want someone else to do it for me b/c they might do it the wrong way and I'll end up redoing it anyways!!

I love the idea but I could'nt do it.Not so much the trust issue but just having a stranger in my house in charge of all my stuff seems kinda weird.

Yes we need one, we're so poor there's nothing to steal, so broke we couldn't pay.
