How on Earth can I get melted candle wax out of my shag carpet? This would be a lot of candle wax! Any help here would be soooo nice. Thanks!

Get a wired bristled brush or paint scraper and break up the wax as much as you can. Get all the excess off and vacuum the area up well. Then grab a roll of paper towels and an iron.

Put a paper towel on top of the wax, then put the iron on the lowest setting. Run it over the paper towel, press down gently, etc, until the paper towel has soaked up some of the melted wax. Change paper towel (I actually use two at a time) and repeat. It takes a while so don't be afraid to leave the iron alone for 3-4 minutes then moving it around. This will get all the wax out of the carpet.

My mom once told me to put some absorbent cloth on top of it and apply an iron on low heat and it'll absorb into the cloth.

I don't know if it works however b/c I've never tried it.

Gigi makes a product that might work by dissolving it.

I have always been told to use ice on wax. Get it as frozen as you can and then pick of the big pieces. The rest should crumble/ pick away.

Seems like I heard you use a blow dryer to soften it up, but not melt. Then, use a comb to dig/work it out. Then repeat as necessary.
