Try the TCB lines. They're strictly for african american hair..and their shampoos can also be used on children too.. These come with some much needed added moisture and shine too.

Soft & Precious is what a lot of moms use. It is commonly available at drugstores & at Walmart. Black babies' hair should not be washed too often. 1 x wk at most. It can dry out too easily. But it is good to massage a little bit of natural oil on their scalp like jojoba oil, shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil. every day.

When I was at Walgreens I noticed a product called "Soft & Precious" and it says it's specially made for African-American babies. If you have a WalGreens try there, or maybe try another pharmacy.

some babies are allergic to j&J go to a health food store there are too many harsh chemicals in store shampoo for anyone.
