Purely political.
I do have a cousin who is a Marine helicopter gunner, and another who was a tank driver-he's since come back home; neither affected my views on this matter.
I was against it when my brother was a reservist who could be called.
I was against it when no one I knew was there or at risk to go.
I was against it two of three times that I tried to join the military (the other time was before Iraq), but would have gone if ordered-damn Meps!
I believe we should have listened to the CIA and Cheney (in 91) when they said what would happen if we invaded Iraq. Its exactly the situation we're in now--we cant leave, but its been almost 5 years and still no stability, so we obviously cant keep plodding along the way things are just hoping for it to fix itself.

No, I have no one there. I have nephews that could be sent. But that has no bearing on my feelings.
I don't understand why our troops are REALLY over there. I didn't want it. But I was ignored as was everyone else.
I suppose I have will just say that what The One said pretty much sums it up.
Lives are being lost. For the almighty dollar I suspect. Sickening.
Bring them HOME.

We should have pulled out right after we attacked. Now it has become a game, or some sort of sick plan that failed. It start ed off personal, led to believe that it was political, and ended just how it started.

Strictly political. Bush, Cheney and their cronies have made enough money and we need to bring our troops home. Alive. Un-maimed. Now.

It is because they should not be there in the first place. They have killed and injured hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children because of George Bush and his megalomania.
