Your admission to graduate school is contingent upon your graduating from college, so either you will need to retake and replace the class before going on to graduate school, or you will not be able to start the program.

College is more sophisticated and social than high school. The big key to doing well is knowing how to manage your time so that you get everything done and on time. One thing that may help (and helps a lot of people if they do it) is to make a to-do list. The stuff on it could range from doing laundry to doing your math homework or reading that book for English class. Another thing you will really want to know is where you study best. For some people, it's the desk in their dorm room. For others, it's the library. There are often even lots of academic resources around the campus to help you (like tutoring centers) if there are things you don't understand or need help on - these are usually staffed by upperclassmen, grad students, and professors. If you have a friend in your class who's doing quite well, study with them. I'm not going to say don't take multiple labs in a semester (or whatever the term is) because with some majors, you have to. But even in those cases, limit the labs per semester to 2 because if you take any more, you may go insane! I'm also not going to tell you to avoid classes at any particular time because what times work for you depend on you. But, avoid taking a class that's 3 hours in 1 big block on only 1 day of the week - as these get catostrophic if the professor has to cancel (or the college is closed for whatever reason).

See if you can make up the class during the spring or summer. Just talk to your professor -- you never know what they will or won't do for you unless you ask.

You can still do this. Go to your admissions office and ask them about academic forgiveness. Academic forgiveness allows you to re-take the class. If you score "c" or better then the bad grade is replaced.
