Arrogance? I can ignore it, or better still, laugh at it. (Who knew that arrogance could be a good thing! lol)
Negativity, though, is far worse It's like an insidious poison leeching the optimism and good feelings out of everyone and everything it touches. It is contagious and deadly and has been known to ruin more than a mood.
That being said, I don't hate. I think hating is just another form of negativity, but I do have a few things that I dislike intensely!. lol

By far arrogance ranks among the worst. I think the real downside of arrogance is negativity. It fosters a negative mind and disrespect.

Arrogance... makes me want to kick them off of their high horse. But then again negativity frustrates me too although I exhibit that emotion quite often myself. I just hate having those people I love being so negative... wish they could see all the beauty they possess.

The negativity is something I avoid at all cost. Arrogance just needs a slap upside the head which makes my day.

Man, this is a tough one! :-)

Both are so very annoying to me, but if I had to choose one for this particular moment, it would be negativity.
I'm really not in the mood for it right now, and find it bothersome sometimes, to be around people whom are constantly seeking to find the negative in almost every matter and person.
In my opinion, realists can see negativity, but are not necessarily hunting for it, as a pessimist would most likely be. That sort of energy feels oppressive to me at times, but arrogance is up there as well.
One thing is to be funny about it, and another is to really have the delusion that one is more valuable than others, and mistreat them as a result of that delusion.

Negativity.

I hate seeing both, however, negativity is a real turn off. Negative people are very tiresome. I was married to a man who always saw the glass half empty and was unable to see the good in anything...real downer

I can deal with arrogance. At least it means the person is a believer with hope...even if he/she thinks he's/she's above me. It sometimes even motivates me to challenge the person....which I like.

I can't deal with negativity. It brings me down, makes me depressed and resentful.

I'd rather someone being under the illusion of being on top and have hopes, than in the bottom and hopeless. I'd rather people think they can take the driver seat, even if they mess up, rather than people who think they are doomed to always sit in the passenger seat.
