Ever wonder How come you only come across a majority of sightings with apparitions that the clothes they claim to see them wearing appear in only apparel date back over a couple hundred years (ex: Indians, Settlers, 1800's , early 1900's, dress etc.) ???? I mean how come there really haven't been any Cave/ice age men sightings i've heard of ya know???? This includes E.V.P. Recordings how come we haven't ran across a dinosaur's Roar on E.V.P. ;) ? I have my thoughts and opinion what is yours? People asked me this before i want to see what you guys think?

For the Skeptics:
Skeptics what do you think of E.V.P.'s

Excellent question! And, I think I've got an answer for you.

(For the record I do not believe in ghosts, but I am very interested in the subject and have done a lot of reading on this very thing.)

The reason I believe you would not hear Cavemen or Dinosaurs on EVP or see them as apparitions is because they pass to "the other side," and accepted their death.

Ghosts/Spirits remain who can not admit that they are dead, or have unfinished business. Cavemen, however.. lived much like animals. Strictly to reproduce, hunt and gather, and evolve and adapt.

As for EVPs, I do not hold much stock in them. Some are spooky, yes, but think of all the random radio waves that could be picked up. Also, most of the things found in EVP are complete gibberish, worded in ways no one does or has ever spoke, for instance, "He are likes pizza cubes." Of course, this is just a for instance =D

First, your information is somewhat incomplete.
There was a report of a troop of Roman Soldiers reported walking across the floor (at chest level as the road used to be lower) at an English (perhaps Scottish) Castle. Just Google this it will come up. So some reports are older than a couple of hundred years.

Second, believe it or not there is a way to examine this. If one takes the population of the world in say 1800 and takes the % of reported ghost (as a % of the poulation) and then takes the population of the world in the caveman area one could readily see that the % (if the % were to hold steady) of ghost reports should be very much smaller.
Also, before written records we have no way to know if ghosts were reported. Of course this doesn't mean that cave man didn't only see ghost that were a couple of hundered years old.

I noticed many answers saying that there soul/spirit has moved on by that time. OK, if you believe the survival hypothesis this is a possible explanation.
If you believe the ESP theory (one acquires information via ESP and then projects/hallucinates a ghost to process the information). Then you would suspect that this information is stored somewhere (memory of a person or society or in the atmosphere) and that it may not be unreasonable to think that this information can be forgotten, erased, or taped over after a long enough period of time just as our written records from Sumeria and Bablyon are hardly perfect and complete records.

I do not consider myself a debunker (or even skeptic) but I have many many issues with EVP's as evidence for anything.
If I recorded what sounded like an intelligent human voice responding to questions that was is a frequency that was beyond the ability of the human vocal range to make and the witnesses were well respected and the whole investigation was video taped and the recording was on tape or a one time use CD (not an easily edited digital recorder) and examination of the original tape and/or CD showed no evidence of being altered then I would believe that an EVP might be evidence of unexplained phenomena. It would still be possible for this to be PK rather than a spirit but would be evidence (to me) of something unexplained and possibly psychic.
Recording that can be altered, that a human voice can make and that need to enhanced to hear anything are questionable at best.

There have been these reported and I am skeptical of EVP recordings just as I am photographic evidence.

One thing back during cave men days the earth was not as populated and the whole earth had probably less people than a city like Dallas today. But in some ancient caves there have been sitings of primitive cave dwelling people. Remember most Modern ghost hunters and the places they investigate are in the populated cities. Most ghost experiences are nothing more than bad appliances or faulty wiring causing appliances to turn on and off thus people feel they have a ghost. It takes more than that for me.

There have also been sightings of dinosaurs in a few areas but when people begin looking for them there is no modern evidence to suggest they were there.

Here in Texas whether true or imiginary I talked to several people who visited the foot prints of dinosaurs in our state park who claim they saw dinosaur ghosts. I have not been there to investigate yet.

Where do you go mostly? I bet it is places like homes people live in, hotels that have a haunted history battlefields and such. How many ancient caves do you investigate? How many places where dinosaurs were known to roam have you investigated?

My idea is that ghosts are seen in most places where people live because that is where the people are and have been for a few hundred years. There is also the belief that dinosaurs did not ever exist but is a lie from the devil to decieve Christians.

As you know a lot of things in this area is merely a matter of faith.
Good question by the way. I don't know if I added anything or not but that is my take. Some of it anyway don't have time to talk much about it.

Just one more thought to ponder. there is a reason ghosts are not seen as much as people living future discussion I have not got around to posting yet. You can if you want but I may not be able to answer.

You have asked a question I often wonder about. Why are so many "spooky" hauntings (i.e. non-personal) historical in nature? While you're at it you might also ask why these spirits are wearing clothes at all. Doesn't that make them ghost clothes? Do clothes have spirits? It doesn't seem to make any sense.

I think the historical hauntings are all myth and lore. As often as not, they're items used to attract tourists. Any time a paranormal claim just happens to bring immediate financial benefit (i.e. Roswell, the Mothman, etc.), it's immediately suspect.

My opinion of EVPs:
a.) If you listen long enough to any recording, seeking recognizable language, you will eventually find it.
b.) The EVP language always seems to be English. Sure, we're in an English-speaking country, but I bet if I gave you recordings from countries where English isn't the predominant language you could still hear EVPs.
c.) Nothing of substance is ever said. You might find garbled phrases, but never anything beyond that. If a spirit can speak, why doesn't it speak in coherent sentences or say something worth while? For that matter, are the talking spirits conscious? Are they reacting to questions asked, or are EVPs just "caught" words and phrases?
d.) EVPs are inaudible to human ears, yet recorded on devices that are designed to pick up sounds made in the normal range of human hearing. If they are able to be heard only with electronic devices then why do some EVPs appear on a hand-held audio device, but not on the audio recording of the video camera recording the guy holding the tape recorder?
e.) If EVPs are only audible to electronic media, does that mean spirits have been talking for centuries without anyone hearing?
f.) EVPs are sometimes manipulated. If you alter the raw data in any way (i.e. volume, forward/backward, cropping frequency, etc.) you are in essence creating, not interpreting.

My conclusion: EVPs are auditory pareidolia.

Genetic recordings? Would be interesting if everyone involved during the manifestation checked to see if they had any genetic links to the individual they saw as a ghost.

Time lapses? Like after you copy a piece of paper so many times eventually the the words on the paper are no longer there.

Or perhaps even a combination of both.

I guess the question would be do you manifest the ghost or does the ghost manifest itself or both.

I think in part it has to do with how you want to see them and in part how they want to be seen. Very rarely do I *see* them in clothes -- no they're not naked -- they're just 'there'.

My son has a guide that is not (perceived) as Asian but likes to dress like a Ninja -- again back to the above statement.

Sometimes people also get 'stuck' in a form because they don't realize they're dead...shock, trauma, etc -- anything that can cause you to be 'jarred' out of your body very quickly can cause this to happen.

Re EVP: It's been a while and I'm pretty sure the Dinosaurs had enough time to figure out that they are dead. Unless that is you are suggesting that all EVP is nothing more than residual energy; in which case...residual energy would eventually dissipate and after 60 million years I find it unlikely that you're going to obtain an EVP of a dinosaur.

Dinosaur ghosts?Following that line of thought. Our homes could be filled with mosquito an ant ghosts. After all we kill them hundreds at a time, usually violently. The roads of Florida must have lizard ghosts, run down in the prime of life.Deer ghosts lining the sides of New Jersey highways.Doesn't that seem like reaching for the paranormal? You have to admit the word silly fits here.No offense intended. For the record I agree with Wiccan Rider about EVP's.

Now that is a great question! I haven't any idea why that doesn't happen. Maybe we all have some preconceived idea of what a ghost should be and that is what we get. I have seen some things that I don't have a clue what they were. I'll be thinking about this for a long time now!

I think we don't come across the roars of ghost dinosaurs on EVPs because I don't think we know what they really sounded like. We've been shown roars like a lion, but their bodies were more like birds or alligators. Their roar be more like an eagle screech, like an alligator hiss, or maybe just a totally new sound.

What is witnessed during a haunting is usually from trauma or unfinished business,So much has happened on the land since then that it has played over previous history.Dinos and cavemen was a long time ago som much has happened through history since then.If the people that came after the dinos investigated ghosts they may have heard those sounds and seen those ghosts. But i sure don't want to see a ghost of a T-Rex.
