I see lots of people lambasting those like myself that have married before the age of 25. What do you all think is a decent age to get married?

I personally think as long as the person is over 18 and willing to deal with the difficulties that come with marriage, then it's fine. After all, it's not my life, they can do whatever they think will make them happy!

I sometimes wish I had waited until I had completed college before getting married. I was lucky to find a great partner - a beautiful woman with rare intelligence and social grace. I was a high school dropout and she was a junior in college at age 19. I don't know if I would have gotten a degree without her inspiration.

Everyone's situation is different, but I feel that women often suffer from marrying too young. They are often tied to raising a family before having the opportunity to explore the world of work or before having the opportunity to get a college education.

Everyone matures at different ages. I got married when I was 22 and I've been married for 10 years. My niece got married at 22 and she and her husband are already having problems. That's a good example that every situation is different.

I think that alot of couples don't last when they are young because they still have maturing to do.

I agree with you personally. I think as long as the person is of legal age to get married and they have a good idea of what they are getting into (because they don't call marriage a commitment for nothing!) then they should be able to marry without being criticized...

My husband and I married at a young age and we have been married for 10 yrs. there is nothing wrong with it we still love each other and are very happy we still fill the same about each other like the first day we meet but you the thing is you don't want to get married unless the both are sure your in it for the long haul because it will be and you don't want to eventually want to start wondering if you made a mistake or want to start thinking about what if you were single to date other people how would your life be.

When both people are mature enough and responsible enough and can support themselves then age does not mayyer. I have seen 40 somethings that are not ready for marriage.
I got married when I was 18 and I have been marries for 29 yrs to the same man and I still love him very much.
