imagination is in the mind and shall always be in the mind. hence, you can control and stop it anytime you want to. and yes, the mind is very powerful, it can be so creative and intricate to the point that some imagination can come up scaring you. this is very normal though.. ^_^

Im sure Tim Burton would say yes..lol
but to be creative or imaginative would describe a sense of control- in an action, and you shouldn't be scared of something you can control. There are people out there who loss the grasp of reality and their imagination takes over and at that point should scare them because they are losing their sense of reality.

Kittensi...cool answer!! you're a star for recognizing mental illness. One thing I'd like to tell you is that schizophrenia isn't imagination - it only appears like that to those who are mentally well. It is reality to someone suffering psychosis or a psychotic episode (hopefully have found a medication that helps them) but relapse into their psychosis is the nature of the illness from time to time. It scares them because it's really happening to them - if that makes sense?...I just thought you would appreciate this information sir!

I'm terrified of my own imagination. In it lie global catastrophes, natural disasters, and asteroid hits. Sometimes I have to drown out my thoughts with music or food, otherwise I wouldn't be able to function.
