Doubt it. Bill Cowher has a nice job with NBC that pays him a lot of money. When he was with Pittsburgh, the thing he hated most about coaching was the fact that he never got to see 2 of his 3 daughters grow up or graduate. Now that he's retired from coaching and living in Raleigh, he gets to see his youngest finish Highschool and go off to college. He may return to coaching after that is done, but he seems really thrilled living in Raleigh, working for the networks a reasonable amount of hours and being a family man.
He will not go to a place like Washington or NewYork because he wont put up with the media in those places (he didn't put up with the weak media in pittsburgh) and he will not go anywhere with an overbearing owner. Cleveland is now going to keep Romeo Crennel, Miami now has Bill Parcells at President of Operations (I can't see those two getting along), I think he'll end up replacing John Fox in Carolina if anything.
SF isn't a bad fit, but I dont' think he wants to be on the West Coast and the Yorks have a really bad reputation as owner. Mike Nolan is doing a good job over there, I don't think he loses his job, and if he does I think Mike Singleterry gets a long hard look. I don't think the Yorks are going to be willing to pay for Bill Cowher since one of the reasons he left Pittsburgh is because they wouldn't pay him $10mil/yr. He wanted to be among the highest paid coaches in the league and Pittsburgh's offer was less than Mike Holmgren's previous years salary.

No. Cowher has stated that he will sit another year and keep his cushy CBS job. Besides, his whole reason for leaving was to stay closer to his family. I can't see him moving clear across country when his family lives in North Carolina.
To be honest, I think that he is waiting to see what happens with Joe Gibbs and John Fox. If Carolina fires Fox after this season, as most suspect they will, he might consider going there since it is in his backyard and if the price is right. Speaking of money, everyone knows that Dan Snyder will add a lot of that to the pot plus give him full access to the private jet to see his family every week. Washington is only a few hours drive from North Carolina anyway. If Joe Gibbs stays another season like he has said he intends to, that would give Cowher his one year off and then he could sign with them.

Bill Cowher will coach again and niners have a great history and fan base.
You are correct about putting people in the stands. I think he would be a perfect fit.
It going to take alot of money to get Cowher and he will be worth every penny.

I really can't see Cowher going out West. He claimed he wanted to be closer to his family, so I'd think if Carolina or Miami fire their coaches , he may look to go there. at this point, i really doubt he will go there. Shottenhiemer would be your guy.

He better not. I am a Steelers fan and it broke my heart when he retired. And if he comes out of that retirement after saying he wanted to spend more time with his family to come coach again???? Ohhh I'll be sooooooooo mad:(
