I am absolutely with you on this one...I hate Christmas. I call it Xmess....I hate the music especially when I have to hear it in stores, I hate the crowds of rude people shopping, I hate the commercials, the expectations, my parents and my inlaws...I just wish I could skip the entire holiday except that I have five kids who love Xmess. Oh yeah I also detest wrapping presents....

While I don't actually "hate" Christmas, I hate what people have done to Christmas. For the most part it has lost it's true meaning and instead is CRAMMED DOWN OUR THROATS STARTING BEFORE HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of the singers, whatever type of music they sing, think that they can "sing" the Christmas music. Some of the singers do a bad enough job with the type of music they sing on a regular basis - why ruin a perfectly good Christmas song with some of these fools that try to sing.
If you don't go broke or run up huge bills buying Christmas gifts, then the way we are looked at is there is something wrong with us.
I hate the FEELING OF IT BEING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROAT !!!!!!!!

I think Christmas was much funner and the meaning was a lot more real about 25 years ago for me. It's so sad that its all about shopping for everyone, everyone is meant to feel bad if they don't buy there friends gifts. Or all there family members. What happened to just a little family gathering and relaxation and a church service to remember the birth of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. It's a birthday, a celebration. You can still enjoy it. Just ignore what society makes you think about it!!!!!!!! Go help feed the poor or something so you can feel better about yourself! That is a wonderful gift to give!

Yeah, No. You have to decide to give a little of yourself. I finally sent Christmas cards with a picture of myself to aunts, cousins, and other family. They always went out of their way for many years, but I did not respond.
What a great feeling to just give something of yourself. That is all people want. A connection of some kind. Nothing else.
I am really depressed. My sister is no longer here; my sister's husband is no longer here; my other two sisters are really sick. My mother is having a tough time with her health. I have MS and am trying desperately to get through the holidays by being there for someone else. My daughter is struggling in another state. I am alone and also struggling.
But we have to remember, it is not about us. It is about those we love, it is about something we never really think about. It is about the Love of God.

No...I usually like it but I can see why some people hate it...
It's lost it's meaning with all of the material things.
It is all about the shops now.

No, you really aren't. Look around and you'll find an army of people who feel the same way. It must suck for you if you don't know any!
Don't feel like a freak, it's pretty normal.
