Making an ad that has sound on it is alright if it's a one time deal or when I'm watching television. While on the computer though, I like to listen to music while I surf through the Yahoo Answers site and hearing the ad every time I go to another question or press Back is proving to be an extreme annoyance! The ad should not be begging for attention. My Answer to your question - Nothing, the GAP paid for the ad space and Yahoo will keep it there until the bought time is up.

Try hitting the "Refresh" (green arrow) as soon as it happens. What music are you listening to? I was listening to Mary Hopkin's "Those Were The Days" and it seemed to do the best job of cancelling out that Gap ad, so far. As that blond was dumping the fuel, Mary was doin' her "Di-di-di-di, di-di" thing.
Edit: Yep, hitting the "Refresh" button (sometimes twice) is really workin' great!
Merry Christmas up there!

It may be time for all of us to BOYCOTT this site. Then, Yahoo may wise up and not Force advertising on us, but rather, let us choose which banners we want to explore.
