I'm 18 years old and I'm going to meet my birth mom for the first time. I'm nervous because I don't know what to say or do. What do I do?

this may be very much like a distant relative that you are meeting for the first time. Will anyone be with the two of you?I would think that the burden is on the other adult.Inquire of her as you would any person but see where she takes the conversation. and after a few minutes things will start to roll.Let her take the lead. I'm sure shes been practicing this meeting for quite some time and do what you want to do and do not do what you do not want to do.You'll be fine.

Good for you! She's your REAL mom you should be excited. Be yourself, if she doesn't like that, oh well. You should be able to act normal around your family and she should appriciate that. So, act normal. Have fun!

Hope this helps! (Maybe brush up on cooking though, make her a nice meal!)
