what do you think of this name for my baby boy?

Braedyn (Bray-den) Lima.

Please be honest ( but not rude) Thanks.

i love it! im all about taking common names and spelling it different...my sons name is rhyley (like riley)

EDIT: I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH THE STATEMENT THAT SPELLING IT DIFFERENT ISNT UNIQUE.. YES IT WILL SOUND THE SAME BUT WRITTEN IT IS DIFFERENT AND I DOUBT YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER BRAEDYN SPELLED THAT WAY!

I think there will be a lot of little boys with names that rhyme with his. Any name ending in -aden (likely started by Aidan) is incredibly popular right now. For example, Brayden, Zayden, Jayden, etc. I'd come up with something different.

If you are really attached to it, I'd save your son the annoyance later in life and spell it in a more highly accepted way - Braden or Brayden. Otherwise he'll spend his life saying "yes, Braden, but with an extra "e" like a celtic brae and a "y" instead of the "e"). That can get old fast.

As for Lima, it's not my style, but interesting. Do you have Peruvian heritage? I am all for it if it's meaningful for you in some way.

EDIT: Spelling it differently does not make it a different name or unique. It's still Braden, people will hear "bray-den"... changing the spelling just makes things more difficult for the child (and some people will think you are illiterate - not being rude, just frank).

Why not just spell it Brayden?
Braedyn looks too confusing to pronounce.

Is Lima your last name? I don't care for it as a middle name.

Why don't you just spell it as Brayden, then. Braedyn not only looks like it's misspelled but would be very confusing for your little boy to learn. It's a cute name though, but Brayden looks better.

Lol, pretty sure Lima is the last name....

EDIT: I agree, when people say his name they are still saying it as BRAYDEN. The only time it will appear "unique" is when it's on paper, and then it just looks like an illiterate mess.

I like Braedyn... but not lima.

But if you really like the name, then go for it!

Wait... is Lima the last name?

Edit: Oh ok, i like the name. Sorry, I wasn't sure about that at first. Thanks for clarifying . It isn't like you can choose the last name haha. Oh, and i like the spelling you chose. It is unique.

I wouldn't use Braedyn because it is a common name now along with Jaden, Cayden, Hayden, Zayden and Aidan etc...(whichever way they are spelt they are all the same name just with different starting letters.)

Its also a feminine name I think. I think Brennan or Brenton is more masculine and unique than all the '_ayden's running around.

I love the name Braedyn, and the change in spelling is nice too. I've seen it spelled Braeden and Braedon.

Best Wishes.

I'll admit, I'm not a fan of the name (It's quite common) but, people will not be able to say it the way that it's spelled. It's fine if you don't care, but I'm absolutely certain your son will. It isn't YOUR name. It's HIS. If you don't like a common spelling, I'd go with a more unique name.

I really really like the name, it's great and goes well with your last name. But people (like teachers) will be forever sounding it out due to the way it's spelled "Braaaaaaeee? den? Is that how you say it honey?"

So maybe spell it differently?
