you have to follow the rules of court. writing a letter to a judge, they will not read it, because it does not follow the rules of court. a letter would be considered ex parte communications. you'll need to file a motion or petition asking for what you want & give a copy to the other party (ie. the state). if you send a letter to the judge, they won't read it & it will be sent back to you.

Hey guy not enough information to really say anything. In most states in the U.S you are still considered a juvenile and unless it was a felony or some other serous crime your arrest record will be sealed at you 18 Th birthday. From then on you really have to stay clear on the law. From then on all arrest will follow you through out you life. And it can mess you up on school, Jobs, and make life rough on you.. Remember when you go out any time you act up an do not follow the laws you can get in trouble. As a first time offender you may get probation and community service. If you have go to court have a lawyer, dress nice and look nice and act nice. Good luck to you and just do not mess up. No one ever said growing up was a bed of roses

Write your mitgation, which is to be read out in court. In your mitigation, you should only state how foolish, immature, regretful, sorry you were. Plead for a lenient sentence by stating you've learnt your lesson and that you'll never do it again. Think of additional reasons why the court should be lenient to you; parents divorce, need to look after mother, sick grandparents, out of desperation, etc..

*Do not say you didn't mean to commit a crime etc. because excuses are not accepted and it'll make the judges angry and impose a heavier sentence.

Good luck!

You should say whatever you feel about the situation.

If we tell you what to say, it won't mean anything.
