Check to see that the Wireless switch is on. Many laptops have a switch somewhere that can get easily switched on or off just by leaning on it. I have an HP and my switch is right along the front edge...as are most HP's. You'll know if your switch is on or off because when you select the Network tab on your sidebar, it will say "no networks available" even when there are networks.

Hope this helps.

Some of the more recent laptops have an actual switch or button that allows you to turn your wireless receiver on or off. Check on the side or front of the unit. Sometimes it gets switched off by mistake.

Either the computer is not compatible with the wireless signal or the satellite antenna may be off or not functioning properly. If you cant resolve, buy a new laptop... Its cheaper than fixing it!!! Talk to Best Buy or Circuit City!!!

Move your computer to another room and see if it picks up a signal better.

Might just be too many walls between you and the signal.

*** EDIT *** If you're not willing to try our suggestions, why bother asking? Or are you just too lazy to pick up the laptop and walk into another room with it?
