Check out the history of vampires and you might be somewhat less enamored,Cookie. In ancient versions of the myth, vampires were nasty.foul-smelling corpses who glutted on the blood of the living and NEVER left thier coffins, mostly rotten and aged until after dark. They certainly didn't wear dinner clothes and capes and were sexually attractive. That came late in the 19th century, with the advent of the novel,Dracula and particularly the stage play and subsequent screen versions.
And, no, I wouldn't want to be a vampire even if they do have the chance to live forever. The price for immortality is waaay too high!

Do I believe in vampires; perhaps not. However would I want to be one; perhaps yes. Anne Rice wrote many books on this which were quite compelling starting with, "Interview With The Vampire". Many only know this as a movie, however her books are indeed enticing and give great thought to the idea.

I always thought it would be so neat to be a vampire, or to be in love with one. They seem so attractive and sexy. Where I live, well, about a half hour from me, every Friday a group of people get together at midnight or 2:30am something like that. And they are all 'dead' convinced that they are vampires. They dress and act the part.

take this from a person[i've said this so many times on here]that is a quote on quote "vampyre".I am psi meaning i feed off of excess life energy forces.Like if i give someone backrubs or if i'm in a large crowd of people[such as a concert]i can drain energy[or their aura].I occasionally drink blood[only when i really really need it,for its very risky to bloodlet unless your a certified nurse which i'm not.]And you can not "become"a vampyre. However if you are one there is a subject called "Awakening"which is a process in which your aware of your abilities and know that you are a vampyre.
It far different if not completley different from how Hollywood has portrayed it.The closest things to facts are the sun[most of us simply are just aggravated by it]but we it garlic in our food just like everyone else,we go around our everyday task just like everyone else, and we do not fear crosses because they have no one significant meaning to us.We actually wear them as necklaces only for the asthetics of it.And i don't think anyone would want to be of our nature. For it was not a choice. We did not just wake up one day and say"oh,i feel like being a vampyre',It simply doesn't work that way.Hope i helped.

I don't care if I get laughed at. Yes, I do believe in vampires. And a reason for why we don't see any is because they do not want to be found. I don't know any, but it would be cool if I did. And yes I am in love with one. Spike from Buffy Lol. ^_^

Vampires have been romanticized by Hollywood forever. The male vampire is a take charge, authoritative figure that many women desire. I've been attracted to the idea myself.

That I believe. As far as mythic vampires go, the kind that never die unless you behead them, stake their hearts, or feed them garlic, etc., I do not believe in them. I believe in the possibility of sidhekin though. Very similar, but more spiritualy vampiric and less physically eternal vampiric. I even once considered myself a sidhekin.
If I did believe in vampires though I would not want to be one or be in love with one. Don't get me wrong, the vampire character on Blood Ties if frickin' hot, but I wouldn't want to be with someone who lives off of blood and who will stay young as I get old and wrinkly. If you ever watch the movie Highlander you will see the less glamorous side to eternal life : you get to watch all of the people you love die.

I don't believe in vampires per se, but I do believe that certain people mentioned in both scripture and folklore that are doomed to live on the earth and never die do exist.

I know someone who looks like a vampire (she as really awesome canine teeth) and I know someone who wishes she was a vampire, but I don't think actually "vampires" exist. People who drink blood probably do, but that is cannibalism (or if it is animal blood, just creepy).
