It is not a person who shops at Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagel, wears Uggs and Juicy Couture. That is not what "preppy" is. Preppy is pleated skirts, sweater sets, polos, and stuff like that. (Don't forget pastels! Yukk I hate pastels) At my school I get labeled a "prep" because I shop at all of those stores. Psshh. Those stores are only a sterotype like someone said... But people say I act preppy, which I do...according to the people at my school and like every emo person on the planet...
"Like, oh mi gawd!"
"AHHHH! You just stepped on my shoooeee!"
"*snickers* Uhh, she is such a loser."
"What the hell are you wearing?"

Well the preppy stores are hollister, abercrombie and fitch, american eagle, and aeropostale, so i guess people that wear clothes from these stores are preps.

Truly, a prep is somebody, more well off who dresses in clothes like polo ralph lauren, lacoste, j crew, things like that.

Well the original meaning was teens who wear expensive, clean cut, light colored clothes, are rich, go to private schools, and are 4.0 students.
But its most commonly portrayed as: Tweenyboppers walking around in their abercrombie and hollister clothes, ugg boots, chatting on their expensive cellphones acting like they're the greatest thing in the world.
Yuck.

Solid white blouse size to a size too big/ sweater tight on shirt, pleated skirt, calve length shocks and penny loafers...
