Amps (guitar) - different knobs?

Question

So I am going to get a new amp for my guitar (Vox AD15VT). I've never had an amp before but if someone could give me an explanation on what each of the different knobs do that would be great.

When you get the manual, read it thoroughly. Then plug in your guitar and play it while you change the position of the knobs - its one thing to read about it, and a whole different matter to actually HEAR what it does.
