ok so the question is to find the mean of these numbers

30 44 32 41 38 48 40 32 50

so i added them up then got 355 then i divided by 9 since there are 9 numbers in the set and i got 39.4 with a bar ontop of 4 since on the calc it is 39.44444444

CAN SOMEONE CHECK THIS OUT FOR ME AND TELL ME IF I GOT IT RIGHT . IF NOT TELL ME THE ANSWER

You got the right answer, As for the bar, is that the way your teacher wants you to indicate such decimals? They can also be written (e. g.) 39.444 . . . Either is acceptable, but it's his or her call.

You can put the bar if you want to or you can round your answer to a specified digit or to a digit that you like! I personally would not use the repeating bar; I would put 39.4.
