i'm only five feet tall at 17 years old, and all my friends are SUPER tall at six feet or close to it.
they always call me cute and adorable, but i feel like their kid sister when they do that! grrr.
i tried wearing heels once and i tripped the entire day [i have no coordination].
my ex-boyfriend was 6'2'' and he had to seriously stoop to kiss me, and i felt awkward and young.
life sucks for short people.
how can i feel better about my height?

and you don't like being thought of as cute =(
that is too bad.
i am positive that a lot of gurls would love to be in your position(as far as being your height).

EVERYTHING. Absolutely EVERYTHING, has its advantages and disadvantages. Short is great. You need less food. Short people are cute. Short people live longer(this is perhaps an urban myth, but, like Second Hand Lions movie says, doesn't matter if it's true, so long as it helps you to believe it) Short people can fit into smaller things.
But you know, when it comes right down to it, height doesn't matter that much. Sure, it matters some. But you are a wonderful person. The powerful points of your personality will shine through if you let them. And I know they're there. People will walk away from you saying, "You know, she's a very cool person." The height won't even enter into the equation.

I love being short! I'm only 5'1'', and love it! Think about all this:
- Rarely is a guy shorter than you, and what's more akward, being a lot shorter than your BF, or being taller!
- When you're short, you're often petite!
- Little people are always cute, and even if you don't like gettin called "adorable" and stuff, I love it, and just take it into admiriation
- You can ask that hot guy at the library to get the book for you haha :]
- You can fit into smaller sizes
- You're not the "same height as everyone else", you stick out more
- I think it's just more fun :]

It sucks to be tall too... I always get asked to do things because I'm tall. I also have a friend that is under 5 foot and she's my age. She hates being called short and asked people to stop calling her short, so you could try to tell people to stop telling you that you're short.

alright well i'm 17 and 5'1" so we're pretty close. i love being short. yeah people do say that we're cute because we're tiny, but i consider that a compliment. there's nothing wrong with being cute lol. all my friends are tall too. they don't say anything about me being short though. maybe it's the way your friends are saying it, ya know? if they use that annoying baby voice i can see why you feel like their kid sister. if that's the case just ask them to stop. my ex was wayyyyyyyy taller than me but we made it work. yeah, it was awkward at times though. one thing to remember... chances are that you're always gonna be short. you better learn to be okay with it.

I'm 40, and only 5'. Sometimes it can be a pain, but hey, you have no choice but to live with it. There are worse things in life than being short. You'll get used to it...I did.

i am short and i always wanted to be tall
but then i realized
i like being short
i started to like who i was more
just be happy that you have what you have
it's better then worring about being tall

Watch th Rolofs on the learning channel. The show is called little poeple big world, and it should make you feel better it's not a frike show my whole family enjoyes it.

Hey! I'm 16 and 5'2". I love being short. Just be glad that you'll never have a boyfriend shorter than you. And who cares what people think? Just be confident with who you are & what you look like.

I'm 5'2" & my husband is 6'2". if u cant wear heels, try wearing veggie heels, boots. it is easy to balance,without tripping, & try wearing long tight shirts, tshirts, it makes ur upper body look long, try keeping long hair it makes ur back look long. im not saying its not good to be short, but little self confidence helps, as im short myself.
