Noob means you're a crappy player. Newb means you're a newbie, which is a beginner. It's bad. Noob is an insult in most online games, pretty much means that you stink.

"Newbie" can be used as a term to identify newcomers to a game, place, or organization. The variant spellings of "newbie" are also used, especially in online games, as a catch-all insult regardless of the recipient's actual skill or experience. Someone who acts like a "newbie," but isn't one would be referred to as one of the variant spellings. The variant "noob" has become common in spoken English by juveniles. Alternate spellings include "newb", "n00b", "noob", "nooblet", "nub", and the recently popular "nublet." These alternate spellings of the term, other than "newb," inherit the definition of "newbie" but are generally used in a derogatory manner to indicate uselessness because of the ignorance associated with being a newcomer."

being a noob, or n00b is a bad thing.
It mainly refers to somebody sucking at a game.
like World or Warcraft.
Or like if you're new at the game.
Sometimes wimpy people throw it out as an insult when they don't know what it means..

Noob = newbie. A beginner. It can be good OR bad, depending on how it's used.

Noob is a sort of altered word for "Newbi". But when people call you a noob it means your annoying and "Immature" at what you do.

It's not just a beginner or newbie. A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intelligence or common sense. You could be level 100 in a game, and be running around shouting "OMG WTF DO I DO GUYZ?!" and you'd be a noob.

It's internet slang for a newbie, someone new to something. As for if it's bad or good, I guess that would depend on the context.

Abbreviation for newbie. It's just saying you're a rookie. Can be good or bad; most of the time it's bad, though.
