I didn't like it. There was too much peripheral stuff going on that didn't contribute to the story line (Steve Carel's character, for one). And I hate precocious children, anyway.

It is quirky and different. It was hard for some people to deal with because it was so honest about difficult subjects. At the same time it interjected humor.
I thought it was a great movie. I can see why it wouldn't attract someone looking for a popcorn flick, because it has depth.
In some ways it makes us all look at our own lives and dysfunctions.

Instantly one of my favorite movies. It's got a lot of heart, and it's easy to relate to. I loooove the scene at the pageant in the end, where they all get up on stage and dance. That makes me happy.
The soundtrack is beautiful, as well. One of my favorite bands, Devotchka, did the soundtrack.

i thought it was great. at first i thought it was going to be boring but after watching it, i loved it. My favorite part is the end (not being sarcastic this time) where they all get on stage. I also like the part where they sneak the grandpa's body out of the hospital.

I thought it was a real breath of fresh air. Loved the characters~ Really interesting. Great stuff!

Great movie. The characters were so real--flawed people yet good people.
I almost peed my pants during the scene in which the VW bus's horn got stuck.

Offbeat but very enjoyable. I like movies with a good story line and this one rocked.
