I got a cut on my bottom which is a difficult area to treat. For three days it is bleeding and in pain. Whenever I move - walk or sit, the cut bursts open and starts bleeding and hurts so bad. I put bandages, also taped layers of toilet paper- it keeps bleeding through and all my clothes and furniture are getting bloody to the point I haven't been able to go out and don't have insurance to go to the doctor. Please help! I can't take it anymore and am scared there will be a scar once it gets healed if it ever does.

well like I said I don't have insurance so I can't afford to go to the emergency room and also pay for stitches. I'm too embarassed to say how it happened, but I did learn a lesson not to do that again and now I am suffering. I have to sit on my other cheak until it gets numb and when i move or get up or walk, it hurts so bad I yell "AW" and it breaks up and starts dripping with blood all over again. It's ridiculous, I can't believe it's happening to me and ruining my life these past few days and I have to go somewhere tomorrow after callling in sick to work these past days.

You might try some liquid band-aid stuff. It's like medical superglue. It's wet when you put it on with a swab, but dries to form a kind of skin. I've sealed cuts on my hand this way, and it holds up pretty well during the day.

That is a hard place to treat because there is so much shearing action in that area. You sit, swivel, turn, squirm--there is a lot of movement. Even stitches are hard to hold in that area. Make sure it is clean and completely dry then tightly tape the edges of the cut together with a single piece of tape. Leave the tape on as long as possible. Remove it in the shower being careful not to open the wound as you remove it, then dry it and retape. Don't put ointment or cream on it because the tape won't stick. Toilet paper may make the problem worse because it gets stuck in the blood and when you remove it, it pulls the fresh blood clot off and it will start to bleed again.
You can put an ice pack on it but not directly on it. Wrap the ice pack in a towel or paper towel.
Unless it is a very large cut, I don't think a doctor visit will help that much. Just make sure the edges are held tightly together with the tape.

There is a point that you need to really Think what are the reason why I do not go to the Hospital. No insurance, No money, Not enough time in the day, or just too busy?.
Well it sounds like the cut is deeper than you can treat at home and the problem is that you are in pain and is the pain to do with infection and if it is how far has it spread?. Please do go and you may need Stitches

If your blood platelets are at a normal level, the blood congeals or clots on a wound and forms scabs. Hemopheliacs have no platelets so bleed to death if they get a scratch. Maybe press on the wound for a few minutes, or try clotting with some flour.

Have plenty of bandages on hand. Cleanse it well with soap and water. Dry with sterile bandages. Apply alcohol or peroxide. Allow to dry. Apply a small amount of Neosporin. (Keyword, small amount.) Dress with several layers of bandages. Don't bathe or shower for a few days, leaving that dressing in place, I'd say no more than three days. Repeat as necessary.

Don't put toilet paper on it. Get a very warm cloth and dab it smoother it with savlon or an antiseptic . then get a pad and bandage it. Do not get it wet for a couple of days change the bandage daily and put more savlon on. Remember the bandage won't stick to savlon

get newskin.. i dont think its that expensive.. it may sting a little but thats common.. apply it once or twice .. you may need to reapply it a few times but hun it works!.. i had serious cat bites and they were gushing blood.. well i refused to go to the hospital so my dad put newskin on it and dried it with a hairblow drier.. he did that 2-3 times and they stopped bleeding.. when i peeled it off after a few days it was bleeding a little but then i just re-applied it.. it loosens up in water which is good but then just put it back on afterwards.. no need to go to the doctor.. hospitals use a for of that when people need stitches some just use a form of New Skin.. and they are on their way!.. trust me hun it works great and you wont have to worry about bloody clothes anymore

Sew it up yourself. (Use ice to numb it .)

P.S. My husband wants to know how that happened.
P.P.S. If you don't go to the doctor you may not have to ever worry about bleeding again. Death from gangrene cures that.

~12 minutes later.
Seriously, it sounds serious. Just go to the hospital and have them bill you.
You should be able to pay it off a bit at a time. They will just be glad if you pay at all.
Better safe and in debt to the hospital than sorry.

See a doctor. A wound can't stop bleeding magically, the tissu has to be repaired, and after 3 days you should go see a doctor.

You should get some gauze from the drug store and tape it on the wound. If the gauze gets too bloody, remove it and put new gauze on. AND STOP SITTING ON IT! Lay down or stand up.
If it keeps opening up, it will scar.
