like guys hide their feelings, why?

LOL, this is so funny because all the guys I called "boyfriends" were so sensitive... Everyday it was I love you, i love you...For a joke i always told them, "your sensitive like a woman"...
They were strong and very manly but when i came to talking about how they felt, WOW. They always put themselves out there. Not complaining, I loved them to pieces, just had a hard time saying it. Guess I was the one that was hiding all my feelings...

guys are trained from a young age to be tough and manly. as a result we show our emotions less in most cases. This actually leads to us being less able to handle the emotional stress as it builds up if we dont find a release. Also women tend to let thier emotions show because of differing thought patterns. men tend to want to fix problems while women fix them by talking about them.

the reason that most guys aren't emotional like girls is probably because:
- guys have grown up with the stereotype that they aren't meant to show their feelings and be deep
- guys have different hormones that make them more manly - and less emotional

Because guys are taught to be tough, not to cry and to hide our emotions. We are supposed to be strong and are taught that talking about our emotions is girly, whimpy, and possibly gay.
Right or wrong, This is simply how society trains us.

Maybe because they are afraid people might think they are not a real man. They want people to see them as a Man who is not soft, someone who is strong. It's a macho thing. Women see Men as their Knight-In-Shining Armour, their protector. They always have and always will, but who will protect the men???

We are alot of times we just dont show it. We get walls built up. I had a gf for over a year and we talked about getting married and all and one day she said she dosent have feelings for me when i was at college and it still hurts but we are just take time to get to know us and you will see it unless you are dating tools

It because we try to act cool to often and for most boys emotions other then cool or layed back are not there thing but it also depends on the boy.

because in this world if you are a guy you have to tough and if you're not then you are abit of a fruit and personally I like guys that are tough not some wimpy guy that crys all the time!

with me its the oppisite i am emotional and show my feelings but my girlfriend don't she keeps her feelings lock away until she blows up. she said she hides her feelings because she don't like people looking at her like she is weak.
