Mammals digestion process produces several gasses, many of which are flammable. For most mammals, flatulent gas is mostly methane, which is what "natural gas" fuel is mostly made of.

The lighting can be problematic depending on the volume of gas produced and the sustained length of a single flatulence. I knew a kid years ago named Ernie Hinahossa that could light his farts on the outside of his jeans and maintain a flame for about 5 seconds. I doubt it is very dangerous but it is certainly pointless.

Yes , Its essentially methane gas thats produced and methane is flammable

I've seen guys in college give themselves some nasty burns so I woul;dn't advise trying it

yes, methane gas is very flammable. be very careful, the fire could trail back up inside of you and burn your insides. but as long as that doesn't happen, it's very funny.

Oh yes, it is methane gas which is highly flammable...but don't try it, people have ignited their anal cavities that way.
