first of all: this question is open to anyone. by guys i just meant people lol.

second by corruption i can't really get specific i was hoping you could name some. i havent taken political science so im no buff on politics, but i can tell you just the way everything is messed up like bush & his administration. the whole adjustable rate on houses issue going on, forcing people to sell, the way people are behaving, our values are changing, what the media is showing on tv. stuff like that.

I think American politics has had ups and downs-sometimes there's been a decent person running the government, but no one respected them so their underlings ran the show, and not too well. Other times we've had corrupt people who were president, but they actually did an ok of running the government. That's why it's so confusing, good people don't necessarily do a good job, since you have to be able to work with lots of powerful people, who walk right over you, or can corrupt you or both.

I don't like the two-party system, I wish we had a parliamentary government so more points of views could be represented, but this is the political system we've got. Hopefully, our democratic republic will continue to work.

On corruption: Ever since the news media lauded Clinton for being such a blatant liar, YES!
Puppets? YES! Ever since the "campaign spending reform" that guarantees the wealthy can finance campaigns but limits the spending by the citizen. Now show business mega-millionaires run the campaigns. The candidates don't get money unless they do the bidding of those financing their campaigns.
A good president? None who are currently running.
The best of them are the conservatives who at least pretend to support the constitution. The Liberals are blatant about wanting to establish a Socialist welfare state and follow that up with a "One World Government".

No, this is the way it has always been. For example, when grover clevland was running for office, he had a child out of wedlock. So, the republicans would march down the street chanting, "ma, ma, wheres my pa"; the dems responded by shouting, "he's gone to the white house, ha, ha, ha".

Ridiculous and vindictive, I know, but it proves a point. While American politics seems worse than it ever was, nothing has changed.

Also, Obama would make a great president, but I am quite sure he will not be the democratic candidate.

The United States system seems to be working just fine, that's why we're still the United States over 200 years after the Revolution.

Its all one big dog and pony show.

Every two/four years we hear the same crap from the same type of people and always get the same results. Where is that "flat tax" I've heard about for 20 years and counting?

After being used by their respective parties, the party drones go back to their brain dead lives feeling fulfilled by changing absolutely nothing.

Hey drones, did they pull the Iraq war funding yet? Huhn? Hey drones, how is that Roe v. Wade getting overturned thing working for you? Yoo-hoo.. Drones?? (Is this thing on?)
