I do like her. I do not agree with all of her politics, but I admire people who were once petty, stupid, selfish, irrelevant-- whatever, then mature and change into caring, intelligent and provocative people.
Her original show wasn't much better than Springer, (I consider Oprah his mother so to speak.) Now, she has a legitimate show that talks about real issues, and not to mention all the charity work she does. It is rare for someone in Hollywood and entertainment to make such a turnaround.
I also put Andre Agassi in the category. He was once an immature, greedy, sometimes cruel personality. He matured, became very humble, compassionate, hard working and now raises more money for charity than any sports figure in history.
I know how hard it is to change, so bravo to both.

Yes, for the most part I do enjoy her shows. I think her life story is inspiring - a poor, unwanted, abused child who grew up to become one of the richest, admired and well known people in the world, that's pretty amazing. I also think she exhibits compassion and understanding and can be amazingly warm and has a great ability to draw people out. However, sometimes I find the subject matter of her shows to be a little boring when it's just one of her friends on the show and it's just one big catchup or when she keeps drawing the focus back on herself, her own life and stories. But for the main part, I think she is an amazing and inspiring woman. Go Oprah!

I admire her for several reasons: She overcame poverty and a bad childhood to become extremely successful; she's a great businesswoman - instead of just being the host - she owns her show. Her magazines are good AND she owns those too.
Oprah is not only history's first black female billionaire but is also the first and richest SELF-MADE female billionaire ($2.5 billion) of any race. She's a great humanitarian who gives to many causes.

NOOOOOOOOOO! She's the biggest blowheart, hypocrite, racist, selfcentered, biatch.
The only reason she spends all that money in gifts, is because represents tax breaks to her huge fortune. For every dollar she spends in charities, she gets a 1 1/4 % break. Why do you think she has charities in Africa instead the USA?Takes less money to keep them up, and represent huge tax breaks here, just like any other big corporation, which has business overseas.

She has been driven by the dollar for so long she now believes she is above all others. She empowers no one. Silly people who kiss up to her have empowered her with the illusion of power.

I've never met her and her style of show doesn't appeal to me. She just seems like the typical Hollywood blowhard to me.

I like her and her show but sometimes I don't like the subject matter.
Like the so called stars that she interviews, though she does try to get to the heart of them and show us the real person.
Dr. Oz is the best, I love it when he is on.

While sometimes her show is interesting, I don't like her. People take her opinions as though they are truth. She's way too powerful and she knows it.
