one or 2.. because getting one girl out of two seems reasonable. I'm a guy who doesn't like watching sports and really I relate to women better. And my sister is awesome.. so I'm prejudiced
. 2 kids, also because I don't want to drive a SUV, looking like I don't care about the environment or the population problems. I don't know I could be emotionally be there for more than 2 kids as well. Much less, keep track of where they are! .. and save for their college, and realistically, spoil them as much as is righteous.
But my parents weren't the best, and though I put an atypically high mark on what Raising Kids Well means, I may suck at being a parent. But they would have Mozart / Hendrix exposure from almost the moment of conception.
I would want my kids to have everything. I want my kids to find more happiness than I had. I want my stress to be limited, so I don't do crazy b.s., like telling them 'No' more times than Absolutely Necessary. All the parents doing so, is what causes us to lose our creativity. Kids are the most creative minds on the planet. Ask a kid how to solve world hunger, and they will tell you.- Bring them food. Indeed- Allow free trade. Uninhibited gods they are.
sorry I kinda answered your question for me.

Well, I just got married last month and my husband Jon and I are already eager to start a family. My husband only wants two, a boy and girl. But I want four kids, a boy, girl, and two more boys. There are some people who think you're married, you should have as many kids as you can. (Our Jewish family thinks along those lines.) Jon and I are not like that. Yes, we want our own family, but we both have careers. Two, even the four I want will be managable for us.

We decided on two kids. The cost of living is on the rise and we still wanted to be able to take them out and do stuff with them. But it's really just a personal choice. Children are a joy and it's however many the couple decides is best for them.

I want 1 or 2. I love kids, but I don't want to be broke either. I'm still trying to decide when to have my first. I'll be 26 in four months, but I think we're going to wait a few more years.

I'm married and have already one kid. It's enough for having one or 2 kids. More than that are crowded and will cause more headaches.
