Kayla is a terrific name.
I don't know that you need to PLAN for a nickname. Nicknames arise because of personality or physical peculiarities of a child that make them more endearing.

Prefer the spelling Kayla. Nicknames could be Kay, Lela, Alla, or Leah.

Ugh. Nicknames should be given by family/friends.. not by strangers on the internet. They are usually based on someone's personality or what they look like. Your baby isn't born yet so that wouldn't really work... Wait until she is here and you get to know her. Then YOU and YOUR fiance can pick out a perfect nickname for her.
