jumps off the night stand when it rings, and it makes you find it... i think i might kill that thing after the first try!

I must be the only one who would love to have an alarm clock like that. I am a "sound" sleeper so the normal alarm clock doesn't wake me on the first try. Sometimes I wish I had to get out of bed to turn it off but I don't have such a clock.

LOL! Actually, I once had a neighbor that had something like that.
He was deaf, and worked for a friend of my family. His employer has a few different houses; one of which is next to my place.
One day, I asked my parents' friend how the man that lives next to me wakes up and such, on time. He said he has a flashing alarm clock that vibrates, and sort of shakes the table, to wake the guy up.

Ya, I think I'd kill it too, but it's my cat! She jumps off the headboard and crawls up onto my chest and lays down and purrs in my ear and kneads until I get up. Sometimes this goes on for 20 minutes! My husband has a different alarm cat. He gets the 17 pounder. When his alarm goes of, the big cat walks across my pillow (thanks for waking ME up too!) and lays down between us and punches my husband in the face until he gets up. Then the cat takes the warm spot and tries to steal MY kiss goodbye! Our third cat doesn't do that, he's responsible for everything else. My velvet leopard.

I'd probably end up letting it jump around the room for a while, until I muster the strength to wake up and turn it off.
