Really? ask the eagles how overated TO is. Oh yea he helped them get to the superbowl. And moss? ask the Patriots how overated moss is? anyone who actually knows about football would be stupid to say they are overated. Yes owens has a big mouth, and randy doesnt take leadership roles. but ,id rather have TO or Randy on my team then on somebody elses team. Whens the last time your teams top receiver commands two to four guys covering them downfield.
ps chad johnson is not on TO or Randy's level either

i am a cowboys fan but i still think owens is overrated. he brings a lot to the table but some of his negatives bring down his overall value ( takes plays off, drops balls a lot, acts like an idiot when he isnt getting the ball which makes his qb try to force the ball to owens when the play isnt there just to shut him up so he doesnt self destruct). also he isnt the greatest at catching deep bombs because he lacks world class speed and isnt known for jumping a foot above everyone else like moss is. probably still a top 3 reciever but just not as overwhelmingly dominant as many think.
moss has some negatives but he has put up such insane numbers throughout his carreer that i wouldnt call him overrated. he managed to make an ancient randal cunningham look like dan marino, did the same for brad johnson and daunte culpepper, and turned brady from a guy who averaged 24 touchdowns with 14 picks to a guy who will have more than 50 touchdown passes and possibly a 10-1 TD to INT ratio. that is INSANE. as long as the team is a contender moss is a great reciever, just dont put him on a losing team cause he will just decide to NOT play.

not really - the years in Oakland Moss sucked he was called a crappy WR, other than that he has lived up to top 5 or so WR every year.
Owens has been contained well in 4 or 5 games this year, but the Cowboys still won, and the other games he breaks huge TD's so he's earned a top rating.
Overrating is normally only a problem when the guy has just one good season and everyone says he's awesome, or is still riding an earlier reputation while doing nothing special, and neither of these guys fits those descriptions.

None of them are overrated, they are the top 2 receivers in the league.
T.O. is actually more versatile than Moss, he does more than just going deep 80% of the time. He can block, go to the middle and get some yards after the catch. Moss is brought down right after somebody touches him.

Actually they are still the best at what they do. I would say that TO, like everyone pointed out, has been dropping alot of balls lately but I would still have him on my team. He is physically and imposing receiver for any cornerback. Randy Moss is just a beast. Ever since he started going across the middle and seemed to have lost those "alligator arms" that he used to have, I would say that with his speed and hands that he is the standard of a great receiver the likes of Lynn Swann and Jerry Rice. Both of those guys could go down as the two best in this era with Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, who is having a down year, right behind them.

Some of you yahoo people dont know what the hell u guys are talkin bout. Did ne one watch the week where T..O Played Washington and Moss Played Buffalo. Combined they had 400 yards and 8 TD's. 4 a piece and Moss had all his in 1st half, and Owens had his to comeback and beat Washington.
Randy Moss is Easily #1 and for the person who says all he does is go long and no yards after catch i say 70% of the time he runs after he catches and he is not running streaks. T.O is # 2 -#5 he is an Elite Player, he made the Eagles go to the Superbowl two years later took the Cowboys to the Playoffs and this year about to take the Cowboys to the Superbowl
SuperBowl: Best QB in the AFC vs Best QB in the NFC
Best WR in AFC VS Best in the NFC

Moss is an awesome WR... the best in the NFL. Though that has alot to do with Brady being able to put the ball right on him... they are both very lucky to have eachother.

TO has had a major case of the dropsies lately; overrated, maybe not, but certainly he has a lot to work on.
Randy Moss is in no way overrated.

Moss missed an easy TD the other day, but yeah, they're both superstars. I'd love to have either of them on the Jets.
