I'm quite young, well, young enough. In all honesty, I haven't had sex. But I've missed my period for 2 months in a row now, and I have some (however dubious) symptoms of pregnancy. Yes, I haven't had sex...but I've fooled around enough; to the point where the transfer could have happened. Any advice?

EDIT: It is possible to get pregnant without actually having intercourse. It's common sense- if enough sperm is in contact with the vagina (regardless of how,) it could become pregnant.

Well if you are that young the the chances are that you just aren't regular. Plus you could be doing this to yourself. Like you want or think you are so you are making your body react to that. Maybe it's stress. Have you gained or lost a lot of weight? There are many reason for how this could happen. If you still don't get your period inform your mom. She will understand your genetic history better then anyone else here and will be able to give you the best advice. Maybe she'll even suggest you go to the doctor, which might be best.
And you are very good... most people aren't aware that a virgin can get pregnant. But anytime A (sperm) comes near B(Vagina) there is a chance to make C(a baby). So congrats on you for knowing more then some of those people out there in internet land.
Good Luck. Try not to stress about it hun.

If you have fooled around to the point where there was possible sperm contact with your vagina, the answer is YES you could be pregnant. At least you know that is true.
Take a reliable pregnancy test such as an EPT. If it is negative, you probably have nothing to worry about except for your health and safety. Advising you not to have sex is a fool's errand, so instead I will advise you to get on some birth control ASAP, before any further close contact takes place. Protect yourself from disease by using a condom.
If you feel comfortable talking to a parent, please do so...trust me, your parent would rather hear about you being on the pill than hear about the grandchild that's on its way.
Take it from someone who was once 16 and pregnant, who now has a 23 year old daughter to show for it.

Its so refreshing to see someone on here thats young actually knows how to spell and use grammar!!!
Sweetie, you should probably just get a pregnancy test, it doesn't have to be name brand, because I know they are expensive. Then try it out and see what it says. Ever since I started having them, I've had very irregular periods, thats not a very reliable indicator, unless for 2 years or more you've been having them like clockwork.
Talking to your parents in this kind of situation is a tough choice. Chances are, they won't believe that you haven't actually had sex, because thats how the world works...It could destroy their trust in you. But if you're really worried, it'd be the best thing to do. Your parents love you, and even though it may not seem like it now, they want the best for you.
Good luck!
*Edit*
To all the rude people on here telling her she should have paid better attention in sex ed? Looks like she did, since she knows she can get pregnant without having actual intercourse.
And did she say she's not ready for a baby? I didn't hear that once, she said she's scared.
And you all need to stop acting like you're holy and you've never so much as held hands because you know that it could lead to babies blah blah blah.... You all need to step out of your 60 year old shoes and step into the younger generations. Didn't you ever fool around when you were young? Stop treating every person on here like crap when they have a genuine question.

ok, i've read some of the other answers and i'v decided to be nice, seeing as though you are young and probably really scared. ok, so depending on how far you went with fooling around I would say its a definate possibility. If sperm comes into contact with your vagina, then its definately possible.
I would suggest going to the store and buying a home pregnancy test, (don't buy the expencive ones they never worked for me) if you do not have any money you could go to a non for profit organization in your area, possibly carenet or something of that sort(depending on the area you live in) But ya, take a test and see how it turns out, if it turns up negative I would suggest that you see a doctor and find out whats going on, cause one month late... that i can understand but two? Ok well I wish you all the best and good luck!

just buy a test and say it's for your sister (even if you haven't got one). then when you get home take the test in the bathroom. if it does come out positive you need to tell someone (ur parents or an older sister) and go from there. but it could just be your periods are a bit messed up like a lot of young girls are. just take a test and go from there.
good luck and what ever happens everything will be fine trust me!

Well it could be nothing once i missed my period for FOUR months and i was freaking out like what is wrong with me? than i figured out that a lot of girls have messed up periods so it could be NOTHING! But to play it safe i would talk to your Dr. I know the Dr. is scary! ( I cry every time i go) but the doctor can find out whats up with you periods and if you actually are pregnant better to find out for sure! If you're afraid to tell your parents why you are going to the doctor just say i want to try out for a sport or my stomach keeps hurting! TRUST ME IT WORKS!!! I wish you the best of luck and everything will be okay =] DON'T STRESS!!!

What do you mean you've fooled around enough, to the point where the transfer could have happened?
If sperm came in contact with your vagina, then you could be pregnant. Take a test and talk to your parents.

If you haven't had sex and a man hasn't ejaculated in your vagina, you aren't pregnant. Go back to middle school and take sex education again... maybe you are too young to be doing that much fooling around if you think you can get pregnant without sexual intercourse. And if you are going that far, maybe you should get on some birth control so that you don't get pregnant!

you have either:
1. scared yourself so bad that you could feel like you have the symptoms of being pregnant
2, have the stomach flu/virus
3. have polycistic ovary syndrome (also known as P.O.S.)
4. stress can cause females not to have their period.
6. when a girl first gets her period, it isn't regular at first but it will after a while.
