Possibly (probably) the greatest rock 'n' roll band to roam the Earth, their energy and grit youthful rebellious feeling can't really be matched, and man could they make a great song.

The quintessential punk rock guitar, vocals, and attitude, great basslines, great drums, great range, great stage presence, there are very few things you can fault them on.

So join me in celebration by pasting your favorite Clash song off youtube or anywhere else, even if you don't like them as much as I do.

The Ramones are officially my favorite band, but I still wouldn't say that they either was better than the other, they were both awesome.

And sorry to the first answer, I disagree a lot, I could pick out maybe 10 Zeppelin songs I like a lot and other than that I don't have much use for them. I wouldn't say they were the best by any stretch of the imagination, but different strokes for different folks.

I love the Clash! One thing that really got me to liking them is that they always had their own classic, solid sound, but were able to change it up into different styles too. For instance, look at junkie slip and tommy gun, totally different but totally awesome. It's like different flavors of your favorite candy or something.

Sorry Dan, I liked The Damned better & if it weren't for The Ramones, The Clash or The Damned would never have existed.....The Clash were good but The Damned did it better....more personality....were never in it for the money! The Damned had the punk attitude The Clash didn't have but never let it show when they made an album!

Every time I open YouTube my internet freezes, so I can't paste links..

But there's not really much point because I couldn't pick a favourite song anyway!

The one that gets stuck in my head at least once a week is "Julie's Been Working For The Drug Squad", but it's not my favourite.

Sorry, but the greatest rock band was The Beatles, with BOSTON as a close second.

The Clash was ok but did a lot of goofy, less than stellar songs between their few hits. They couldn't even come close to their mentors - The Who.

I love them.

In fact, I'm working on a sketch of Mick Jones.
Perhaps if I can ever get my 360 to post pics, I'll change that to my avatar.
