If you are artistic you could draw/paint a picture. You could make something special for her to eat, or do some of the chores whilst your mum then has a relax. You could pamper her - style her hair, paint or manicure her nails (or both), etc; and play some nice music in the background whilst you do it. Think about what your mum enjoys or needs most, but your consideration will mean a lot to her in any event.

Aside from making something at home, get a charity gift. Alternatively make a nice card and a photo album and then write something about how we're so fortunate and so you've decided to work for 10 hours in a charity shop.

What about making her a Coupon Book............

Decide what you can do for her and then make it into a Coupon that she can use at any time.... eg

This Coupon is good for one dinner prepared by me.

This Coupon is good for a Hug.

This Coupon is good for me to vaccum the house.

This Coupon is good for me to clean up the kitchen and do the dishes without saying no.

I think you have the idea - just make up some of your own on paper.... draw some nice designs (unless you do them on the computer and print out) Make a cover and staple it all together.

Merry Christmas

a scrap book with loads of family pics and space so that she can put more into it. all you need to do is buy some A1 (is that the paper that's bigger than A2? sorry can't remember hopefully you get what i mean) and staple it in the middle...then start searching and sticking!

or you could make her breakkie in bed, or some kind of thing

best of luck and Merry Christmas!

Write a Christmas poem for her, post it on poetry.com, and run off a copy of it suitably framed. What could be more personal?
