I could easily list 20 players who have been robbed of recognition, Tommy John, Bert Byleven, Dave Concepcion, Jim rice, Dale Murphy, Andre Dawson, Bob Boone, thats off the top of my head. Seems like they are penalized because the steroid wonders could come back from injuries and perform at higher levels as well as a shrunken and lowered strike zone where guys golf balls for hits rather than getting handcuffed by high fastballs of the past.

I can easily find players who were inferior in their own era who are in the HOF while these guys are not.

The Baseball Hall of Fame has always been stingier about inducting players than other sports Halls - a year when more than 2 or 3 people are inducted is rare.

By my count, there are 32 Hall of Famers who played at least part of their career in the 1980s - that compares favorably to other decades. There will be a few others - several sure inductees (Rickey Henderson, Greg Maddux, a few others) aren't yet eligible. The same applies to the 1990s - you don't see many players from that decade in the Hall simply because few from that era have been retired the required 5 years.

Because it's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of the Very Good. I mean, really, Blyleven and Rice are the only ones of the above that deserve to get in.

The Hall of Fame has to be stingy. If they start letting everyone in, the honor loses all meaning. In fact, I think it should be even MORE exclusive, especially regarding older players.

The hall of Fame has always been stingy. Joe Dimaggio was a third ballot HoFamer.

Concepcion and Rice should get in. The rest probably never.

All the players you mentioned were really good, but none were ever the best in baseball, and none deserve to be in the hall.

The ones you rattled off aren't worthy of induction!

Most of the ones people think deserve to be in, never dominated their position, or didn't put up the numbers to be included.

I'll agree about Blyleven.

The others, not so much.
