ugh! I'm getting so depressed! I've never really dealt with acne...now that I'm 5 weeks pregnant my face has broke out horribly. I use clinique mild facial soap, and that doesn't seem to be helping. Anyone else going through this while pregnant, and what have you used that helps??

Dont worry..even if your face has always been clear and clean, your pregnancy can result in little bit of acne..it is because of the extra hormones.. remember that these hormones are really needed for the proper maintainence of your pregnancy.. always consult your doctor before using any over the counter anti acne products(it may harm your baby)..I think, its better to continue with the mild treatment you are using now..

I broke out around week 8 and it lasted unti week 18.
its has gone away on its own though. A lot of pregnant women break out, because of the increase in hormone levels.
It will go away soon, dont worry about it :)
all I did was take off my makeup at night, then put on neutrogena night cream. nothing else.
you could try other acne medications aswell, just keep your skin clean!

I'm with ya, its driving me crazy. My doc said to use Oxy. It is a peroxide based soap. I use the face wash, the cleansing pads and the spot treatment. I've only been using it for a few days but has started to help already. Good luck!

ya ur hormones change when you are pregnant, so therefore your skin will change, i would suggest switching to a differant cleanser, try to find one at walmart or something, so its not so expencive, that if it doesn't work you can always switch to another one without having to waste a ton of money, um... i use noxema, it works pretty well for me. oh i hear cetafil(sorry my spelling sucks) works well too. Good luck!

Yes, it's a normal symptom of pregnancy. Just try to use natural cleansers, nothing with salicylic acid in it.
