My relationship started with great sex! Since my partner became chronically ill we haven't been able to make love as often as I had grown accustomed. And when we did, he would get sick from the exhaustion. I would feel worried for his health, and guilty for making him get worse (even though he assured me it was worth it). When we would go for more than a week or two without having sex, I went insane with frustration.
Because he loves me so much, he encouraged me to find other lovers. Now I have a boyfriend who understands my situation.
And now I don't feel like I'm draining my husband's life away whenever we make love. He's even initiated sex a few times.
And of course he's still my husband. We share a bed. We are devoted to one another and to our child. Even when my husband is in too much pain to cuddle, we always speak affectionately. We've been a couple for nine years and married for the last six.
Sexual incompatibility can be a challenge in a relationship, but if the people are honest, compassionate, considerate, affectionate, ethical and understanding, they can make things work. Actually, these traits would benefit any relationship. Good luck.

it's very important. even if you never want kids, you want to be with someone you share a strictly inclusive relationship. if the two just have only a friendship based relationship, who just happen to live together and sleep in the same bed, the marriage will begin to turn dry and unloving, because you can do that with any of your friends! so sexual compatibility plays a big role

It depends on the 2 individuals personally.
On the average - it is very important to be sexually compatable with your mate.
If no compatibility exists - then upheavable in the marriage might be present.
Sexual compatibility promotes special feelings.

Good sexual compatibility can add that special unique closeness and make up for some otherwise rough edges in a marriage. It is not absolutely necessary, but it sure makes it easier to have a great marriage.

All types of compatability are important. sexuality is a gift of the goddess. Why would you choose someone who doesn't feel as you do? It is extremely important.

is very important, for a relationship depends on what and how long you want your relationship to last but for marriage is like a condiment to your meal,to much is grate, to little is like no flavor and flavor means everything.i would let go a relationship with no flavor but i woul do anything to spice a marriage and i all ways think that sex in a marriage has no comparison.

It is a definite plus, that is for sure..Why would someone be with someone unless they are sexually attracted and vice/versa. If there is an attraction and the compatibility is lacking then work on it as obviously attraction leads to willingness..If there is no attraction, then that is the problem

It's like a car. If the rides bad you'll put up with it for a while. Then once it starts to sqweak and moan and the ride just gets worse you don't even want to get in the seat. Then you start test driving new and improved models and simply trade up to one that rides like a rocket!!!! In short, YES IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!

Very important, you should both be wanting it just as much and make sure it's for the entire relationship not just for a few months or it will make one of you really unhappy!

It is important or at least to the extent of attraction and want. The mechanics of it can be learned and/or worked out but I have tried it when only one partner was into it and it doesn't work long term.
